This person contacted me via text and asked if I was still interested in work from home data entry positions. I had been applying so this was relevant and he used my full name. I told him that I was and he proceeded to setup an interview using Google Hangouts. I asked if I would be speaking to anyone throughout the interview but my question was not answered. After an interview he offered me the job and said that the office equipment would be shipped to my home. He sent me an offer letter via email and said he would be contacting me the following day to setup the equipment distribution. This was all without doing any background checks so I thought this was strange. I contacted him the next day and he said that he would have the money sent to me and I would need to purchase the equipment and then an employee would be coming to my home to set up. At this point I knew this was a scam and told him that I would not give my bank info or cash any checks and that if there is an employee in my area that they could bring me the equipment rather then me purchasing it. He then tried to get me to purchase from ATT saying that they were affiliated but the purchase would be in my name but would be on their server. I told him I was not interested and that I no longer wanted any position. I stopped contact and emailed Growmark's HR department, I received a reply from the real Growmark and they said they have no work from home position and that the employment offer is not from them.
