Scammer posed as friend and was selling a car. Personally known the friend since I was four. To hold the car a down payment was needed. When you face time with her you see her face but cannot communicate verbally like a poor connection. Scammer needs a phone number and email to send the money request. Apple Pay was the way we used. Friend/scammer request to do a two part transaction. Personally figured it was because of the amount. Then after the first part is sent and you catch on that it’s not your friend apple refuses to cancel transaction cause it’s a bank card and well it’s the weekend so no banks are open. My bank refused to help with reimbursement, Apple won’t do anything cause it’s a bank card.

Scammer/hacker took over a friends account, Facebook refuses to take account down for friend. I hold Facebook responsible for not taking down the account and I hold Apple responsible for not doing anything on their end to help the customers using their platform. I am not the only one that thought this was truly my friend. And I am not the only one that has been scammed through her account. This is a form of identity fraud and it’s crazy that Facebook is not helping.
