Met this person on Plenty of Fish dating website. Sounds like a nice guy but refused to meet in person, would only text, email or speak over the phone. Had a Nassau County phone exchange but switched to Viber app and gave me an international number to call/text while he "was in the Netherlands." Said he owned a construction company and was having issues with a project in the Netherlands. Supposedly traveled to the Netherlands, sent me videos of the project, and told me his company was being fined $250,000.00 due to lateness of the project. Said he had cash with him to pay but he was short $2,400.00!!! I knew what was coming next, he actually asked for a loan. Said he would pay me back double. When I told him I thought it was odd that a man of his means did not have credit cards and was unable to get money wired from his own company he turned it around on me, that I didn't trust him, etc. I told him we had just met, online, and had not met in person, so why would I just send him $2,400? What really got me, was that he started to negotiate the amount I should send him!! Told me he sold his watch and now only needed $950.00!! I reported him to Plenty of Fish and they took his profile down. I researched his HWilliams website (which has a lot of misspellings and talks about how amazing he is) and found that the website domain is registered under the name of Xavier Preslie, Warri-Sepele Road, Warri, Delta State 10024 NIGERIA. He claimed his name was Benjamin Williams. I saw a blog online that identified his website as an employment scam---you had to send money to apply for a job there. This man is definitely out to con people for money and goes about it in many ways. His last text today asked if I had any relatives who were in the military. He would be able to access money from their USAA account and then pay my relative back when he got back to the States.
