Initially I was contacted through text message regarding a job offer application on Indeed, which ironically was the exact role position I was interested in. At the time I was actively applying on Indeed. Didn’t think much of it and I was eager, so I said I was interested. I then was instructed to use a messaging app “Telegram” to contact the hiring manager named “Nakita McMullen (46)”. As I spoke to “her”, I was only asked for my experience as a mean to get to know me. It didn’t feel like an interview at all, and every time I responded, “she” immediately within less than a second would have an entire paragraph of response. This obviously was scripted, and didn’t even bother to see what I was saying. Quick and easy - I was offered the position after “speaking to superiors” within a few days of extended conversation. I’ve checked multiple platforms to research more about the company and employee reviews; something doesn’t seem right. A few people have also left reviews regarding the same experience with them trying to hire during these times and their odd way of the employment process. The messaging app Telegram also has an issue with its secret chats and encryption.

They were offering me a job and started requesting personal information. Started an informal interview with no ask of whether I wanted to schedule something or if I was busy.
