Total money lost$197 Type of a scamHome Improvement
Went through Angies list to locate a plumber and was contacted by “Handy” via Home Advisor whom I guess Angies list uses or subcontracts with.
We were charged prior to the services. No one showed up.
Supposed to get reimbursed for charges not performed. Never reimbursed. We live in Alabama. Two days later we get a text that our scheduled cleaning for every two weeks will begin a for our home in Colorado.
Every time you call for help, they refer you to another department.

I have for over a week now been trying to remove my credit card information and personal information/ delete my account from this company "Handy" - www.handy.com - and they are providing me no way to do so. Through a marketing scheme, I signed up for a cleaning of my home and then after that they continued me on a recurring cleaning cycle that I could not cancel. When I finally was able to cancel the recurring cycle (after lots of effort), they have not responded to any of my emails to delete/ cancel my account and remove my collected and stored personal information AND my credit card information. They continue to store my credit card information without my consent, even though I've asked them to cancel it multiple times. I believe not only for my own consumer protection but others using this company that they need to change their practices.
