This person Jose Vargas promised to complete a built in project by a specified date. This scammer was very responsive up until the deposit was given. Once a timeline was needed the person was unreachable. The day before we were supposed to meet they sent a picture of a cut finger and stated they were unable to make it. When we tried calling they stated they were either in the bathroom or warehouse and couldn’t pick up. We asked for our money back and the person stated they did not have the money and proceeded by providing me a foggy video of their bank account showing a negative balance. After continuously asking for the money back they stated they had asked their church friend to lend them the money and they agreed, however the lender had exceeded their Zelle account transfers. We experienced excuses after excuse and have full proof of every conversation. This scammer even acknowledged that it was their fault and that they would refund our money. We’ve given them plenty of time and have not heard from them in several days. This person seems to be very versed in this scam process. They need to be taken down.

Spoke to someone on the phone to setup a free estimate for garage door estimate. Verified the trip would be free before arrival. Upon arrival was asked what issue I was having with the garage door so I showed him. He then took it upon himself to make an adjustment to my opener. After the adjustment (quickly turned a limit knob on the opener) was made he proceeded to give us the estimate. He the. Said that we could have one of the parts replaced today per the estimate cost or we’d have to pay him $120 for coming out. I called the company and they verified that my file said the visit today was just for a free estimate for replacement and that there should be no charges. The tech got very upset with us when we explained the situation and after trying several different tactics to get some amount of money from us jumped in his car and left.

30 days ago, I paid him to change a hose bib outside he wants $65.00 to replace it when he should warranty it. I found out he is not Licensed as well. The hoe bib is defective the metal separated.
