We tried to buy a golden retriever puppy on September 27, 2021 from Harbs who we found online. They would only communicate through email. We decided to buy a puppy named “Brenda”. They wanted payment through Zelle app. ($600 plus $210 shipping). My grandson, Kyler, sent the money through his Zelle account. They notified us they received payment and would ship the puppy the next day by airline. We got a message saying they dropped puppy off at Klenways Shippers and that the shipper would send flight number and time we could pick up at airport. Klenways Shippers sent us 3 emails requesting $950 for a shipping crate. Harbs said this was usual and we would be refunded most of fee when delivery was made. But we were suspicious and called the phone number provided. We asked the guy who answered at Klenways to FaceTime us with the puppy. He said AFTER they received payment he would send us a picture - no FaceTime. They also wanted Zelle pay. I even asked if he would accept a credit card. They would not. I looked online for proof that the shipper was legimate and could not find ANY information. I emailed Harbs and told them what happened and asked for help getting puppy or a refund of $710. She answered “will do” but we haven’t received money or explanation. I have emailed her several times since with no response. And we haven’t heard anymore from Klenways Shippers. I’m glad we didn’t pay the $950, but we are out $710. We are Senior Citizens and hate losing that money and no puppy. I would like to warn other dog lovers of this scam. I saved all of my communication via email and Klenways flyer and email if they would help.
