A text message came through my phone on 07/09/2024 from the 253 number claiming to be Jason Weaver from Harrow Health contacting me in regards to a Data Entry/Customer Service and Administrative Assistance. I responded by stating that yes I am interested and he advised me to contact Kate Allen at [email protected] on teams to set up my interview, so i did that. did the interview and the next day 07/10/2024 i woke up and had an email from [email protected] in my gmail and it was letting me know I got the position for Administrative Assistance at $30 an hour and to contact my hiring manager Kate Allen to proceed. I instantly message her on teams to continue with the hiring process and she sends me the w2 and I-9 and I fill both out and submit my Drivers License and SSN, this morning 07/11/2024 I was reading an article on job scammers and the way my interview went was used as an example and It made me worry so I reach out again to Kate Allen and I tell her I am worried and express my concerns and she told me everything was legit and there was nothing to worry about. I asked about my hiring date being out two weeks for my background to come back and to get my all my work stuff shipped out to me and Kate advised me yes that is why and then continued to advised me that I would have to pay $300 for the company's software to be able to complete orientation and training and asked If i could do that, I advised yes just to see what she would say next and when she sent me a paragraph on the softwares they used i remembered that in the article that I had read it was the exact same and I messaged back and advised that I am not comfortable moving forward until I have proof this is a legit job and that I am really going to be employed by them and she seen my message and ignored me for over an hour and I messaged again advising I would be getting my lawyers involved and my mother advised me to report this to bbb
