A voice message from a "law office" Hartwood & Associates was left on my work phone & cell stating that there is a lawsuit filed against me for unpaid debt & that I need to call them immediately to address this matter. The first time I called, no answer. I called after hours & got a voice message. I didn't respond & used a phone number they had not called so they wouldn't suspect me. There is a webpage for Hartwood & Associates, but it has no info except an 800 contact number. You cannot "click" on the "contact us" button. Nothing happens. There's only a privacy policy & a terms & conditions page on the website & that's it, other then the home page that talks about how they recover money. Pretty elaborate. Had me nervous at first, but definitely a scam.
