After Halloween was over I emailed again and my email was automatically sent back to me, telling me it was blocked because the site didn't exist anymore. I went online to check for the site and, yep, the site was gone, along with the money for the costume I had paid for. Yesterday, I received a suspicious email from a weird site I didn't recognize telling me that my order "shipped 14 days ago" and asking me to click a link and "rate my service" from Haven and Hartley. I did not click any of the links and marked it as spam.
I expect the whole point of the site was to reel peopel in with initial purchases (swindling money from people $50 at a time), upsetting people enough to get them to continue to reach out to the email address posted on the site. Then, after not providing the goods that were paid for or responding to requests for information, the fake company finally reaches back out to the customer through another spoof account with links to a fake survey. Knowing people will be upset by this point, they expect people will click the link because they will want to tell them off and give them a bad rating. However, the link most likely will lead to something else bad (thus the reason I didn't click on it).
