This was the job description given: "Hayse-walls Surveys LLC specializes in custom research approaches that address your brand’s specific needs in the marketplace. Leading global companies depend on us to strategically analyze how to optimize brand offerings, identify differentiating innovations. *Duties will be to evaluate and comment on customer service rendered on product and services delivered when you visit said stores, companies, and organization. You will be notified via email as soon as your first official assignment is on the way. Once a task has been assigned to you, procedures and instructions to aid you in the task come afterward." The description also said: "My name is James Powell, shopping survey coordinator for HAY-WALLS SURVEY INC. Your application to join our team of retail shoppers has been accepted and APPROVED. You've been shortlisted to participate in our forthcoming shopping survey evaluation. I'll walk you through your first few survey assignments. It is my hope, that your addition to the fold will bring another edge and a heightened perspective to our surveys in your local city. Acknowledge receipt of this email soon as you read it, with a simple reply. Also, confirm your mailing address. Your welcome letter will be mailed out shortly, I want to make sure it delivers successfully to your home.

Basically, the company sends a packet containing a large check for 2950 and a "Survey Sheet" for secret shopping. The assignment was to buy apple store gift cards and send the codes of said card to the phone numbers on the form. The number of gift cards equaled to 2650 allowing the shopper to keep 300. The scam is, the check you receive is fake so when you cash it to buy the cards it will bounce later and then you will be stuck paying the cost. I did research and found scams similar to it.
