I am going to report a scam case that happened to me on December 27, 2023. The scammer was connected to me through Facebook, messenger and WhatsApp as well as did scam from India. On December 26, 2023, the scammer contacted me through a WhatsApp video call (from +91 6232608882 WhatsApp number) and showed me sexually explicit material. The scammer recorded the video without my permission. The following day (December 27, 2023), he sent the recorded video to me through another WhatsApp number (+91 8329103183) and blackmailed me by letting me know that he would spread the recorded video to various internet sites, for example, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc. He also collected many of my close family members' Facebook account lists and threatened me to send sexually explicit videos to all of them. Therefore, I was forced to pay $620.06 and $1191.71 (total amount of $1811.17) to his Indian bank account through using Remitly (an online money transfer application) by using my ******* *** credit card within a very short period of time and I have literally no time to think it in a cool head at that time. I have all the details of the bank account to which the money was deposited. I am not also sure for what purpose the scammer would use the money. Additionally, I also have a copy of The WhatsApp texting with the scammer. If you need this record, I will submit it to you.
