I have been looking at purchasing a dog for some time. I have placed my name on various waitlists with different breeders. I was contacted by Healthy Mini Doxies for You telling me that they had a 11 week old puppy for sale, and sent me several photos. I was told about the dog's health/ vaccination records, her AKC registration and received a contract to purchase the dog. The contract was with Leon S******, listed as the seller. His address is *** Deerfield Road, Newark Delaware 19713. His telephone number is 302-455-2014, and he uses an email address of [email protected] The purchase price was $1,000 which was required to be paid in advance. Included in the purchase price was the cost of transporting the dog from Delaware (where the dog supposedly was) to Boston MA and the breeder said that his wife was a flight attendant who could transport the dog to Boston. I paid the $1,000 in two American Express gift cards. The day before the dog was expected to arrive, I was contacted and told that I needed to purchase a crate for transportation of the dog -- and the crate cost $1,500. When I informed the alleged breeder that I would not send any additional money, he stopped communication with me, wouldn't answer my calls or emails and I have never received the dog. I lost $1,000.
