What caught me off guard was when I got a message that I would have to pay an extra $1,350 for shipping insurance. They told me that the puppy was already at the airport and ready for shipping and that I had to pay this amount quickly. They sent me an email and called me as well. Caller had a foreign accent. Told them that I was unaware of this extra costs and that I did not have the money to send.
They insisted that I pay and even offered to pay $700 of the insurance costs. I conducted a scammer search at this time and noticed that it had happened to several others, so I closed my credit card and texted the seller to refund my money. And now he will not respond to us.
