Person contacted me through LinkedIn saying they were hiring a Virtual Assistant. No interview necessary. Hired right away. Sent me a check, which did clear the bank, rather quickly. Then they wanted me to send a money order to an "independent supplier" who would then order the equipment needed for me. When I tried to look up the company, there is nothing. Then I went back to LinkedIn, and the person who contacted me was no longer there. Even the messages sent to me were gone. When I questioned her, she said she turned it off for a week because she was getting to many friend requests.
