Congratulations! Our recruitment team has reviewed your portfolio on INDEED for the position of Graphic Designer job and Heidelberg Materials believes you are capable of handling this position based on your profile and you have been selected for an online interview and job briefing.
You are to create or use an existing zoom app https://zoom.us/ account (Chat) to proceed with the job interview and to know more about the company, positions, pay scale and duties.
You are to set up a Username with a zoom account and add up the company's head of operation ID to your contact list, zoom chat Username is ([email protected]) and instant message Her for an online interview/briefing exercise.
You are to be available on zoom account chat for the interview (ASAP), Your swift and timely response matters to this position as well as the job interview. I wish you all the very best of luck in the interview. Please feel free to contact Ms. Sonia Goldfarb for more details.

I added them on zoom chat and they said this:
"I am Ms. Sonia Goldfarb ,The Hiring manager, Heidelberg Materials.
I'm here to brief and interview you more about the opening position."
"For now this is going to be strictly an online and work from home job the working hours are flexible and you can chose to work from anywhere of your choice, the pay is $50, per hour and training is $18 per hour and will be getting payment bi weekly via Check or direct deposit (Depending on which you prefer) working 20 to 40 hours weekly, if you are employed you are going to be working as a full employee and not an independent contractor. Benefits: Health, Dental, Life and AD&D Insurance, Employee Wellness and 401k plans. Paid Time Off and Holidays with Generous Company Discounts."
I would answer with more than one word responses and then I get this:
"Just follow the briefing and you can ask questions when i am through. Let me know when you have finished reading and understanding every line. You will be allowed to ask questions later. With each line just respond with an Okay."
Fishy....
I proceed to answer all the questions about my graphic design experience and the work that makes me most proud, and how I would make tight deadlines...
Then I'M HIRED!
"Congratulations! You will receive your duties everyday via email and I will be online to assist you with any difficulties.
"DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY: Conceptualize, develop, and create graphic designs for print publications within brand standards, Create digital and printed signage for several marketing campaigns, Prepare graphic design files for printing, ensure highest print quality, Work with team to create best workflow processes for graphic design
Can you handle All of these duties effectively?"
"We are starting you with $50 per hour, You will receive your pay bi weekly Friday of the week via wire transfer, Direct deposit or Check ,Depending on which you prefer.
What payment option do you prefer?"
Then this happens....
"You will be enrolled for benefits after a period of 3 months of working with us. We are going to be communicating through zoom chat (IM) till after 7days of working with us, a user and pass will be given to you including an up link to the company server. Also after then list of contact phone numbers to various departments will be sent to you including all necessary forms to fill out."
"Before you start work you will receive a payment(Check) ,you will be using this payment (Check) to set up your mini office by purchasing some office equipment and Graphic Designer software, immediately you get this payment you start work fully."
I ask about the W4 & I9 And I get this:
"Yes, you will receive the company employee offer letter after your interview session is over."
"Here are the Names of software's you will be needing to purchase :Microsoft,Adobe Photoshop,Adobe Illustrator,CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5,Adobe Indesign,Autodesk 3ds Max,(Autodesk Maya),Corel PainvtShop Photo Pro X3,ArtRage 3.5,Adobe Premiere,Corel Paint,Wacom Tablets, 14-inch MacBook Pro 13" with Retina 5k display, iphone 12 pro, PaintTool Clip Studio,Auto Desk 3DS , Fax Machine,Scanner and a Photocopier,which is to be purchased."
"NOTE: All materials are to be purchased from the company accredited vendor, I will provide you with the vendor information when you receive the check."
This was really going weird, so I started digging... while I didn't find anything about this company being a scam... I did find that the email address I was communicating with was similar to others on here.... [email protected] the "@writeme.com" part is what popped up on here..
I called this "Sonia Goldfarb" lady out for scamming and she disconnected immediately.
