I signed myself up for their service because they said they offered month to month furnished housing. I chose a unit in Laguna Beach, paid in full and was given a move in date. When I arrived at the unit on my move in day I found the house to be occupied and not for rent. I reached out to their support line because I had all my belongings in my car thinking I had a place to move into that day and they offered me a temporary unit in Long Beach, I drove 90 minutes to an apartment that was again occupied and not available for rent. At this point their main office was closed and I was given their after hours support line. They told me they would reimburse me for hotel rooms until they figured it out. I had to live out of hotels for a week while the only option they could come up with was to pay them even more money and drive myself to San Jose (9+ hours away) for a different unit. During this week they gave my personal information including cell phone number to a third party I had not agreed to share personal information with and began recieving harassing text messages from someone who claimed to be renting out the original unit in Laguna Beach and demanding I send him money. Ultimately I had to get a lawyer involved for this company to even pay me back for the hotel fees they promised they would cover & to return the money I initially paid. I thought I was done with what was an entirely stressful and traumatic situation but on May 28th a charge came through from this scam of a company for $199 as an “annual fee” I have already reported all of this to my bank and have attempted to contact Hello Landing to demand a refund and to demand to never be charged again but every time I call I end up waiting up to an hour for a customer service rep to pick up and the call eventually drops without anyone ever picking up.
