The scammer sold a home warranty, then denied a valid claim. The scammer reviewed a report that our microwave’s motherboard was bad as non-covered, claiming it was a “light bulb issue”, which is not covered. To remedy the situation, we ask for a refund of the premium paid if they did not want to honor the warranty, to which the offer was denied as well. Effectively we paid for a “warranty” only to have a valid claim denied, effectively making the warranty worthless. I can only assume this scam is widespread and ongoing.
