Henderson Paving & Masonry contacted me while they were doing driveway work on other property in the neighborhood. His name was Gerry & John (I believe they are son & father). Since they were working in the neighborhood on multiple driveway, I thought they must be reliable and will do a nice job on my driveway as well. They gave me a quote for $ 10,000.00 for a concrete driveway, entry-door porch and walkway path. I signed the contact on May 16, 2023. I asked them to start the work on Monday, May 22, 2022.

They started digging at around 9.30am. They asked for cash so that they can buy material faster, cheaper and deliver it on the same day. So I paid Gerry $ 8,000 cash. I was promised that the job will be completed in the next couple of days. By noon, they picked up backhoe and hauled away because they ran out of fuel and needed to refill it. But they never returned. After making several phone calls in the afternoon, both, father & son gave reasons why they could not come. By then I new that I was scammed. Now, they do not take our phone calls.

Not only me, but the other two jobs where they were working in the neighborhood, also paid money and they got scammed too!
