Got a letter that I owe $700+ to company called “EZCorp/EZMoney due to an ACH NSF while I worked at Bank of America. This is definitely a scam since I’ve long retired from Bank of America (9 years ago), the “witness” listed is my father who has been deceased for 10 years now, and I don’t recall ever taking a “payday loan” from any such company. I did take payday loans out in the early 2000’s (some 20 years ago!) and those debts were discharged in a bankruptcy in 2010. The other obvious error here is that the statute of limitations on written contracts for my state (California) is 4 years, any loans I took out that weren’t discharged are long past that.

Got a letter in the mail, stating that I was in sever delinquency of a previous installment loan originating with EZCORP EZMONEY while working at an old employer. Threatening a civil judgment that could garnish wages or a lien against personal property, bank account. Also stated that I had a NSF fraud due to me closing my account while working at my old employer. This is not the case as i never closed my account during that time and my employer would of let me know due to the fact that I worked for a credit union.
