I was contacted by email after I had applied for a job with Hero Digital on LinkedIn. I went through with an online interview and received a phone call from someone after. All the people checked out on LinkedIn as well as the company. I was sent an offer letter and accepted and was told I need to purchase equipment and would be reimbursed. They said their software people had a way to get a discount and offered it to me. They then asked for payment through cashapp. They asked for my direct deposit information for payroll and to get reimbursed. It was all a scam. I lost $1906.
