Caller states the front desk’s system has gone down and they need my card information again to cover incidental charges. He was very apologetic and says there will be a 20% discount on the remainder of my stay.

This caller has bypassed the hotels switchboard and called the room directly.

I hung up and immediately called the front desk to alert them of this incident.
