Had a border collie puppy for sale, numerous email and pictures set. Sent 300 as a deposit. Drove 5 hours to pickup the puppy, no one at the home, no reply to my texts, emails and phone calls. Never got the puppy.

We contacted the scammer regarding a border collie puppy they were claiming to sell. We talked both on the phone through audio and text to confirm the puppy was real. The scammer sent us a video of the puppy and had several different pictures. Once we thought it was legit we sent the payment after they agreed to deliver the puppy on Monday. Once the payment was issued they backtracked and said since the payment hadn't cleared the bank they couldn't ship the dog until Tuesday.

They reassured us this was a family business and sent us more pictures and a bill of sale. We contacted them this morning and they acted like they were setting up the shipping and sent us a tracking number with all of the information. It wasnt until the shipping company then called us to request an additional $1,500 payment for a refundable insurance that we realized it was a scam.
