Found beagle puppies for sale at a great price. Fell in love with one of the pictures. I sent an email through the "Contact Us" section of the website inquiring about the puppy. The individual responding stated he had reduced the price because they stirred up too many emotions as they reminded him of his wife's resent death. He provided cost of $400 for the puppy and $200 to ship it from Washington DC to Los Angeles, CA. I sent the funds via Western Union on July 31, 2016 to Mac Malone, District of Columbia. On August 1, 2016, I was notified by Sky-Pet Movers, supposedly headquartered out of Houston TX that $985 was required for Pet Travel Life Insurance that would then be reimbursed to me when I received the puppy. I sent the $985 to Larry Sone, District of Columbia the afternoon of August 1, 2016. On August 2, 2016 I received notification that the puppy was enroute to Charlotte, North Carolina. The next correspondence was notifying me that the puppy was "lazy"/"dizzy" and the vet needed to provide multi vitamins and energy vaccine. Additionally, I was notified that her microchip was expired and had to be replaced. Again the puppy would not be transported further until I provided $1,045.26. I attempted to transfer the funds this time to David Patridge in Houston, TX, however Western Union refused the transfer and refunded the funds back to me. I contacted the company (469) 844-2403. I notified the gentleman who answered of the refusal and requested proof they were a legitimate business for example their business license number. He refused and stated he couldn't email that information. He then hung up on me. Mac Malone, then emailed me and stated he was going to leave work and find out what was going on. Approximately 3 hours later, I received another email from Sky Pet Movers stating Mr. Malone requested they cancel the shipment and send the puppy back to him but because he had already transferred the ownership to us, they couldn't do this and again requesting we sent the money. I again re-iterated the requirement to prove their legitimacy. I have also emailed Mr. Malone and stated that in good faith if he will pay these fees, I would immediately transfer the funds to him as soon as I receive the puppy but I would not be sending any more money to either of them until the puppy was in my possession.
