The same is happening to me right now. Tomorrow, september 7/2021 I should send a guy named Gary Nicolas $5,000 to clear the IRS taxes for what call the winning money. The most surprising to me is that he used a good friend of mine to make the contact, telling me that this was for real. I, already, sent him $2,700 and I think that I wont see that money never again. I'm sad because I never would think that the so called friend could do this to me. he was always saying that it was for real. CORRUPT FRIEND. At the end is a photo of the guy.

I received a message on Facebook Messenger from a former coworker. He received a $300,000 Government Grant from Home Care Cash Grant. He sent me a link. They are giving it to retired and disabled people. He said the grant is free. Do not have to pay back. I clicked on the link. I provided my name and address. He keeps asking if I clicked on the link. I wondered why he kept asking. Contacted me at 5:00 A.M. I was suspicious. He wanted me to contact Agent David Douglas at Home Care Cash Grant. I would sign up with him for the money. I had contact information for him but now it is gone. I don't know how that happened. I never spoke with him.

I got a FB Messenger from my cousin in Virginia. She said my name was on a list for a grant from Home Care Cash Grant. She said she got the grant for $150,000 after she paid a clearance fee. She told me it was legit. I have to pay $1000 for taxes and a clearance fee. I said I have never heard of this before, and they said it was on Fox News last week. I asked why the fee can't be taken out of the check, and they said the check is sealed and would be delivered by FedEx. He also advised me to keep it a secret from everyone until the package is delivered. He gave me a ticket number, serial number and reference number. I asked to speak to someone. Sorry I can't get on calls for you because I am out on deliveries and it is not safe for us. I gave them my address, age, marital status, occupation, and mother's name.

I posted a wedding dress for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Someone named John Paul Gotto messaged me on Facebook Messenger asking what's my best price for the dress. I replied telling them to make an offer. They then replied "I was just wondering if you had received the home care cash grant yet?" I replied "So you're not interested in the dress". They replied "I will get back to you on that" then continued talking about this grant. I blocked them.

October 2019. I received a messenger message from a facebook "friend" who asked me if I had heard about the Home Care Cash Grant and that he had gotten $7,000 and seen my name on "the list" He gave me a phone number I called they said they dont take calls , text only, they never answer the phone. I got tons of messenger messages and text messages. I finally got in touch with my friend who was allegedly sending me all these messages and he know nothing about it. I looked it up online and its a big scam, they hack peoples accounts and send out messages.

The phone number was 772-242-5990. The link was https://fb.me/AgentMWMavis

They claim to work to eradicate poverty and stableize the economy. The phone number is out of Florida. I did not give them any personal info. The messages come from a friends account, but they are not sent by them it is a scam. Check online before and dont give them any info.. The stuff I saw seemed like it was one of those "you won a grant for $10,000 send us X$ to get the money, but I didn't let it get that far, and i was able to speak with my real friend who told me he knew nothing about it.

A new Facebook friend asked me about the Home Care grant and have I applied for it. I tried it and found that it is the same 'program' that I was introduced to about two years ago by some other people that I grew up with. Scary scam. At least they didn't ask for SS# or bank acccount #. They surely wouldn't get it from me.

A person in my town a friend on my Facebook page. Said I saw your name on a form saying you won money, did you get because I got mine 100,000.00. You need to call this guy he said oh text him first. I texted him he said I won and needed all kinds of info. I stupidly gave it to him. He never mentioned I needed to pay anything till the very end. He said I needed $2000.00 to pay for ups to deliver. I said forget your lying . My mom said you never pay for something you won. And then he said give me anything and then you can pay the rest from your winnings. I then started believing him again. I got 2 longs gift cards for 100.00 each and I took pictures of them. And then he says this isn’t enough. So I said then don’t use them I don’t want to be part of this. So I didn’t talk to him again. But he kept texting me about how I won and I should get this money. I ignored him and 5 days later I went to the store and tried to use the card and it says he cashed them both in Keaau. One of them I gave my son for rent, now I have my son screaming at me. And I feel like such an [censored]. I texted him and yelled at him and called him a liar and why would he cash those when he said the money was for ups. I blocked his friend from Facebook and now I wish I didn’t. This man wants money and he is still texting me. I feel like a failure and I’ve had a migraine for 2 days now.

I have been receiving messages on Facebook messenger from a Facebook friend. She is not the one sending these messages.
