For about 8 months now some people have been illegally using our company name Home Comfort Center. The woman on the phone says her name is Kim and she wants to book a "free" maintenance inspection, in the beginning they had someone named Joe calling. We don't have anyone by that name here. I have reported it to the police fraud dept. and unfortunately there's nothing they can do. They must be random dialing because they have called people in London, Kitchener, Guelph and in Michigan. We are assuming that they don't have a T.S.S.A. license or something like that and are trying to sell you something that you don't need.. Our other assumption is they are trying to see what people have in their homes so that they can steel from them. We don't make cold calls to our customers, if our customers need us then they will call us. We have put a pop-up on our website to warn people about this and I have been thanking the people who have called me to report that they have gotten calls. I hope that by posting here it will protect people from being scammed.
