9/20/2022 My wife was approached at our residence asking if they could put pine straw on her flower beds.She initially said no but accepted their offer of $7.50 per bail installed. I came home about an hour later as they were finishing up. They said they put out 59 barrels. I asked what a barrel was and they said each barrel was 5 bales which came to 295 bales for a total of $2212.50. I refused to pay that amount and called the police. I eventually said I would pay them $500 and they accepted. The scam is giving a price in bales and then telling the customer that a barrel is 5 bales when in actuality its just a regular round bale of pine straw. Same thing has happened in nearby neigborhoods.
