My Samsung dishwasher broke down. I called "The Appliance Repair Team" and arranged visit of their technician for the repair. Their technician, Kunwar Preet Singh, came in on Nov. 28 2024 around 3:00 PM, started the dishwasher (which was able to run but made strange grinding noise) and quickly concluded that circulation pump is about to break and recommended new pump. When we asked how much it will cost he told about $570 + tax, for parts and labor. We told him that for this money we can buy new dishwasher and that we don't want to do the repair. Then he told us that he can repair the existing pump for $340 + tax. I told him it is still very expensive and he told us that he'll be able to lower little bit the cost and brought it down to $280 + tax. I asked him if he is sure that he can fix it and his answer was affirmative. Beside that, he told us that there is warranty on service. We accepted the deal. That he asked us to pay him up front before he even started repair. Although it was strange to me to pay before the work is done I thought it is his company policy and paid. I was naïve / stupid. He then worked on repair for no more that 15-20 minutes, where he even didn't access the circulation pump (I realized this latter). All he did was to unscrew some plate from the bottom of dishwasher inside and applied some sealant around some shaft. He told it will fix the problem and also told not to run dishwasher for next 2-3 hours, to allow sealant to cure. That was all he did. Latter when we tried to run dishwasher same problem remained. Next day I contacted his company explained fake repair, mentioned warranty for their service. They told me there is no warranty on labor and refused to return me my money. I called 2 more time in next couple of 2 days, complained again, requested to talk to their manager, but they ignored me. So, they robbed me and I have to accept it. This is lesson learned. I paid for being stupid. But I'm wondering how many more customers they already cheated and how many more they will. Please escalate this and try to stop this fraud company and their scammer technician to rob more people. Hope you'll be able to do something. Thank you kindly.

I called this Appliance Repair Team number to schedule an appliance checkup and service appoint for our failing refrigirator. 10 - 15 minutes after I ended the call, I called them back to cancel the appointment. The lady on the other end of the call said I would need to pay them some cancellation fee. I asked if they have already dispatched anyone to my house and she said not yet. I said I would not agree to any cancellation fee since it's barely 10 minutes after the call and it's common practice for service entities to allow cancellation if asked within a reasonable period and I believe 10-15 minutes after the appointment setup is reasonable. I also told the lady that the company she's representing has not provided me with any service, therefore, they don't deserve any payment from me. This happened around March of 2024. It's September now and they are still asking me to pay for the cancellation fee. They have also threatened to report me to certain credit rating entities.

This appliance company was called to repair a hood range over the stove.

The repair man showed and said he could fix the unit guaranteed for $316 with a 6 month warranty. He was here for only 10 minutes, then telling us to wait an hour for the unit to reset and it will be working fine and if not to call him and he would come right back. Upon calling to inform them of it not working the lady that answered the phone said they want an additional $648 to come back.

I phoned again in the morning to speak to a manager/supervisor and they said they could not give out any names and would have someone call me. No one has phoned me back.

Total scam!!!

I contacted Appliance Repair Team on their website , they called me early next day to tell me that they could come out that day if I wanted . I agreed for them to send a repair man , they told me that I would need to pay $ 80.00 for the initial first visit . the repair man arrived a few hours later in a non commercial vehicle . once he arrived he then proceded to tell me that he would need to do a diagnostic test which would cost me a additional two hundred dollars . I agreed to pay for the diagnostic test , he presented a small square type debit machine . Once the diagnostic test was complete where I then discovered my washing machine in pieces on my basement floor . he them proceeded to tell that I need a "Drain Assembly Pump Pressure Switch" the cost for this so called part was $464.34 , the repair man *** *** ****** ******  told me that I need to pay half of the cost of the part , once I paid half the cost of the part he then told told that part would 4-6 weeks .then the repair man left my home. i was talking to a family friend , where i told him that I hired this company called " Appliance Repair Team " my friend then told me that I had been scammed and that they most likely are not going to come back. i then contacted this company to tell them that I was cancelling my repair and that i was requesting a refund for the cost of half of the part that was so called ordered . I was contacted next by email telling me that they where going to refund me the money and that it would take 5-15 business days .. 15 business days have passed and no cheque . I am now going to file a fraud report with local police and also going to file a complaint with Consumer Protection Act..

Here's my experience. Called the company regarding a faulty refrigerator-the fridge part wasn't getting cold air. Phoned the company stating the issue and was quoted $80 for a service call charge for a same day repair with a $15 discount including an $80 waive if the overall repair work is complete. The repairman arrived to my home at the time stated and before any work was to be performed- he provided a signature form for me to sign stating that the total cost of labour will be $265 minus the dubious $15 discount. I signed and he performed a diagnosis and came to the conclusion that there was a faulty control board which required a new defroster heater with no leakage and damage found. I inquired the cost of the part and he said let me phone my company for the amount. On the spot he dialed a number and asked the person over the phone how much would the cost of the part be and he quoted an additional rate of $373.91 for the cost of the part itself including labour for installation. I asked what was the initial amount of $265 t22 (Frigidaire Part #: 242 044 008) which included extra surcharges of "labour" and taxes/fees he kept speaking of. Not to my surprise, I called a different repair company as I'm still left in need of repair and its sad to hear that this company is known to pull these underhanded tactics-which fully relies on the customers desperation. There are certain "rumors" circulating around them which was unfortunate to hear about.

I'd like to share an experience I had with a certain company. I had a scheduled appointment with them at noon yesterday March 3, 2024, which they confirmed at 6 o’clock the same evening.

However, on the day of the appointment March 4, 2024, they called me to reschedule, which didn't fit into my schedule. I was willing to reschedule, but they insisted on charging me a cancellation fee because it was being done on the same day.

It's important to note that they were the ones who initiated the change to the schedule, not me. I was prepared to reschedule and have the technician come out, and I was willing to pay for the service. Despite this, they still insisted on charging me $80 plus tax for the same-day change.

There was no mention of any charges for cancellation or rescheduling fees during my previous conversations with them. I advise others to steer clear of this company, as their business practices and customer service are subpar.

Repair person came and inspected the washing machine.

Charged us $280. We paid. He then said, he needed a part in order to repair. $427.70 was paid for the part. Repair person came back to install the part (pump). It still didnt work. He tried to get us to sign that it was in working order. It wasn't. He then looked at it again, and said we needed to pay another $800 for another part. Because that wasnt what was originally quoted, we did not agree to paying another $800 and the repair man proceeded to mark $0 owing for the remainder of the repair. He was to come back with the part and install it. We then received a phone call from the company saying that we would have to pay for it.

The cost to buy a new washer would have been less. Had he diagnosed the problem correctly in the beginning, we would not have proceeded with any repairs.

The company did not honor the repair persons final bill to us for the repair at $0 cost to us. We now still have a broken washing machine and are out $800.

I hired this company to repair my washing machine, they booked the initial appointment wrong and when he did come he told me it was the rotation system at 360 dollars and would take about an hour to fix, then he calls me back and says it’s the motor and another $1295. Meanwhile he lies to me about the cost of replacing my machine which was untrue when I checked after he left. Apparently the $360 dollars was for the quote and not repair and I had to pay before he left. This company is a scam. I have never had to pay for a quote, service call yes. Don’t get scammed by this company.

They offered to come fix my washer made me leave the room didn’t touch anything on the washer charge me $330 said that if it happens again it would cost $600 soon as they left the washer didn’t work

Called them to Book an appointment as they seemed to have good reviews.

Booked appointment & they showed up 1.5hrs after their window. I had to leave but I called them and asked if I could leave my credit card for payment for the device call. I also mentioned an adult would be there (My Mother). They said this was fine.

They claimed they could not properly diagnose the issue without going into the machine at a cost of $200. Then they said they need a part for an Additional $585. They requested payment on the spot from my mother for the part and said they could install once the part was in and that it would only be a day or 2. Then they told her they don’t accept credit cards and she needed to pay debit or cash. She paid via debit.

Once the part was in they were not able to schedule the repair for another week, despite telling us previously this would not be the case.

I called and asked for a refund on the part cost and was told someone would call me in 2 days. I was not able to speak to anyone other then the agent on the phone despite requesting

This company has horrible ratings on Google as well as with BBB.

1. We called this company and they came pretty quickly (unfortunately did not read Google reviews ahead of time). Our fridge wasn't cooling. The technician that came just asked us what was wrong and did not diagnose. He quoted us $295 labour + tax to fix it. Which he said we had to pay if we wanted to get any further service. Scam #1 - without even diagnosing he quoted us the labour to fix it. He said we had to pay in full - he did not give us any other payment options. I called customer service today and they said there is a 50% payment option on the day of the service. Scam #2 - on their website they say we can pay via Credit card but the technician as well as when we called customer service said we CANNOT pay with anything but cash or debit.

2. We paid a total of $809.85 that day * *** ********* SCAM #3 You can see that there is no detail on the part or service that is to be provided. The quote was very random and just made up by the technician.

3. Scam #4 - we emailed for a refund of whatever we could get. That was on June 15th and we have not received anything. After multiple emails and phone calls - we have been told cheque is lost, it's with accounting, we have to track and trace, we are waiting... - see attached email conversation with one of their office managers.

At this point, it does not seem like we will get any money back. They have took the money and provided no service at all.

My 76 year old mother who is handicap, ice machine stopped working. I called the company and they refuse to give back some of my money. On there website it says if your unsatisfied with your service we will refund your money. All he did was scrape the ice on the bottom. After he left a half our later are kitchen was flooded with water. They charged $300.00 for service. I was quoated $125, then i called the next day and recieved a quote for $95. He was also extremely rude. I have never heard of a company that charges $300 and was here for half an hour. My mother is a senior and on a fixed income. Thos company should be ashamed of them self.

Paid for appliance repair of a refrigerator. Stated it needed a couple of parts. Needed us to pay by cash or debit even though the website stated they accepted credit cards. When I looked further in fine print stated credit cards can be used if preapproved. Came back and put some part in and said it’s fixed. It did not work. Fridge still didn’t work. Company customer service refuse to refund for services not rendered. A couple of days later they sent the same guy back. He said it only needed to be reset and it is now fixed. After hour later it still not fixed. Refusing to refund money. Refusing to give name of company owner or manger

They came to the house and said they would fix our dishwasher for $290. Fiddled around with it for 45 minutes then said they couldn’t and demanded another $500 for it to be fixed. We offered them for their time ($150) and then they sent $177 dollars to collection.

I had this company out to repair my fridge. Each time they come out they have a different excuse as to why it isn't working. It has been over a month and they have replace 3 parts in my fridge that i have paid for and the fridge still isn't working. This company should not be in business, they are rude, they do not call you back, and replaced 3 parts that i did not need. This is fraud. They need to be reported so they do not keep doing this!

I was overcharged for parts to repair my washing machine. I was charged $794.00 for parts and labor that cost $42.84 online. When called the to company complain, what heard was inaudible.

Paid for a repair on a refrigerator that was not repaired.

The company comes to the property consultation is 90 and diagnose the parts and cost a lot of money, I paid $780 parts and labour, the washer is still leaking and technician again came to check and again recommend another parts cost $980 to fix a washer. The manager Ella just denied me and don’t want to hear my issue and frustration with my washer that still leaked. They don’t give refund with the service that was not done properly.

Call Booking: -

                    They said $80 for dispatch and to find out what the issue is.

 

Technicians: -

                 Checked the fridge and said the communication between screen stings and mother board is faulty and not responding, and that is the reason there is no cooling.

 

They gave 2 options: -

1.      Pay 80$, and they are out.

2.      Pay 280$, they will service Cooling System, Safety System and Control Board.

Change any parts within the above and get the fridge up and running. And only then pay $280.

 

We said to go ahead with option 2.

 

After signing, In just under a minute they say the compressor is failed.

 

They communicated wrong problem just to get signed and then cheat of with another problem just to get away with labor $$$.

 

Why should we pay for wrong communication, in-efficient technician knowledge and capability, and no service done to what they mentioned.

Appliance repair. Charged me $275 to repair dishwasher took the money then said unable to repair and left dishwasher in same shape as before. Many reviews on website from angry customers explaining they experienced same thing
