We want to renovate the home to make basement as rental unit. we approached few of them from market place. but, nobody accept to work with building legal permit and contract except this Richard and Tracey Johnson -couples(Canjstyles and general contracting). Canjstyles and general contracting, initially Tracey talk very nicely and said we can do all stuff like getting permit from city, work on ESA, plumbing and HVAC(A to Z) and said they have 20years experience in this field. Also they mention will give the receipt for all in final. we segregate payment in 4steps with formal contract(which says their business name and my name with all scope of work and 4 schedule payment). Once they started work they got failed in first inspection(for back entrance). City inspector wants to do all work again and mention this doesn't met standard or code. then they started blaming me that because of legal permit it happen and i want to pay for the whatever they done in rework. but, i didn't accept for that. then later tracey pull the ESA permit on her name that she is house owner for completing electrical work and panel upgrade. unfortunately they caught red-handed from ESA inspector. again they blamed because of legal permit. finally we hold 20% payment and we ask them to complete. but they didn't agree, instead they said they got loss in this work, If i paid now so that they will pay to all sub-contractors the work goes without delay. once they received the payment they run-away. then we came to know that they done this for master electrician who working for my panel upgrade(tracey hired this guy but we paid for this service at the end). Also they done same with architect.

still ESA investigation is going on. ESA inspector says that this guys(whole family) absconded. please find their license. i don't know whether this is legitimate(Richard Johnson and Tracey Johnson) .
