I contacted Melissa and she asked me for my address, income, Mothers maiden name, occupation, email address and a list of other personal things.
She then told me they were verifying my information to receive the grant. A few minutes later she said I was the winner of the grant for $90k and said I need to pay $800 and will receive a check delivered to me by Fedex in 48 hours.
And then told me to send to purchase 2 Amazon cards for $100 each for processing. And said she collects 10% of my total winnings.
That's when I realized it was a scam and my friends Facebook account was compromised. Be careful with these desperate liars because they will do anything to scam you

My friend is a college professor so all the misspellings and poor grammar was a give away. I called her and told her to notify her friends on facebook that she had been hacked, removed IM from her phone and to report this.
