Two contractors rang my parents doorbell stating that they noticed a crack in their chimney and could take a look at it. My parents agreed and the men said they could fix it. They then said the entire chimney needed to be replaced. My parents gave them 15 ,000 to fix it, never receiving a contract. While fixing the chimney the men then said the roof around it needed to be replaced, which then turned into the whole roof. My parents agreed to have part of roof fixed and gave the men another 15 , 000. Once the chimney was fixed my parents never saw the owners again and never recieved a contract. The workers showed up to fix the roof and could not get into contact with the contractors. My parents had to pay for additional materials to fix the roof, debris removal, and had to pay the workers for labor. Overall they had to pay an additional 6,000 after the 30,000 that the contractors recieved. One of the contractors did speak with my mother on the phone and said he would reimburse her but of course after the work was done she never heard from him again and did not get reimbursed. The contractors were seen on a neighbors video taking back the ladder when my parents were not home and workers were gone.
