I found Structural Repair Group on Angie's List. They claimed to be licensed and insured. Originally asked for $1,200 to fix a crack above my fireplace, and replace missing bricks in my chimney. They took down half my chimney, removed 22 slates from my roof, then wanted $40,000 to rebuild the chimney and refix the roof. I could find no record of their license number. I enlisted my local Assemblyman to deal with them.
