I live in Florida and a hurricane recently passed through. I received a phone call today, October 30, 2024, regarding a free roof inspection, which I unfortunately and gullibly consented to, as I'm a new homeowner and new Florida resident who doesn't know any better. After realizing it's a scam I called back to a disconnected number, where I still left a message withdrawing my consent. I contacted my home owners insurance company and my management company regarding the scam, as well. I'm concerned I will be scammed and be left with a damaged roof that I will need to pay to replace.
