Type of a scam Home Improvement
On August 31, 2023, TipTop Masonry was verbally contracted to tuck point the brickwork and related masonry repairs at 318 Rusholme Rd, Toronto ON, M6H 2Z5.
I paid $5,500, in trust that the work would be completed as discussed.
As expected, you (Timmy) are not on the job this morning, contrary to your telephone promise last Thursday Aug. 31, 2023.
And this is not the only aspect of our agreement that you have broken:
You said that my neighbour was out, even though he was home.
You said that you would finish the job on Thursday Aug. 31/2023. It is not finished.
You said that you would tuck point the entire house, wherever there were holes in the mortar. This was only done up to 6’, many holes were missed and the entire back of the house has not been started.
You said that you would repave the sidewalk to seal all moisture from entering the basement. This has not been started.
You said that you would calk the windows. This has not been started.
You said that you would power wash the back deck and driveway. This has not been started.
You said that you would use the finest materials in the mortar. This is untrue. I can scratch the mortar off many of the joints with my finger.
I have no reason to believe that you will fulfill on any of your promises, so please be warned that I have no option than to file a complaint with the Minister of Consumer Affairs and to take legal action against you.
To avoid proceedings, please return the $5,500.00 I paid to John as per his receipt..
