Absolutely scam artists

I own a roofing company located in the beaches of Toronto. Two of my customers unfortunately fell victim to "Titans Masonry and Roofing" and their team of bullies.. absolutely scammed them and total a total of $13,000 was essentially robbed from these nice people.

I was scammed

My chimney was in rough shape. Initially they were going to tuck point. They said it could not be tucked pointed. They tore it apart before any agreement was made. I was leaving on vacation and felt I was trapped. I overpaid for the service. (badly). Do not allow them near your house. I broke my main rule of never dealing with door to door salespeople.

Person approached saying they were working next door and could repair some cement work. When told no initially, they reduced the price. When the new price was accepted they said they could do other types of work like repair a roof. They went up on the roof and said there was major damage and wet boards. They were then asked to leave as we knew that was not the case and we were getting increasing suspicious and uncomfortable. We paid them $100 and asked them to just leave. When we went up on the roof it was apparent that some of the asphalt shingles were torn by hand and a tool. A photo was taken to document.

After they left we confirmed with the neighbour that the individuals made up the story. The contractor had never worked there.
