I googled checked the company and was directed to TRT Masonary and General Contracting. Sean said that was his company. I foolishly believed him. This company had good reviews and had high rating on Homestar. (I did not check for BBB, but will next time!).
Our neighbour had masonry work done by them and had no complaints. I realize now she couldn't really check the job as it was too high up (on the 3rd fl).
The representative's name was Sean, he had a strong Irish accent. HIs father Michael accompanied him.
They promised a solid new full roof, new membrane and entire, guaranteed animal proofing on the east side of the house.
They said they would take photos and videos taken by drone to show the work as it was being done because it's a three story and not visible.
They never showed the images and when I asked where they were, they became agitated.
I became distrustful as the work progressed.
Towards the end of the job, whenever I questioned the quality of the finish, Sean became irritated and angry.
We paid cash to finish up, he gave a discount for this, and we wanted the job done and them to leave.
This was a very angst-ridden and unsatisfying experience.
Animals were not gotten rid of (we paid another person for this), the flat roof leaks now (we have to get the 'real TRT company in the do this) and I am still concerned about the new shingles since they appear to be very uneven. The flashing was not replaced as promised.
When I try to contact the number, it is "not available'.
I have a signed contract with 'paid in full' on it.
We paid $30,000.00 for the job and while there is a new roof, the job is not done well.
