The next morning we found out that although their website said they were in Oklahoma, they had recently moved to New Jersey and needed to update that. Odd, but still plausible to us.
We asked to setup a time to call them and FaceTime the pup to be sure it existed. Their number was from Florida (even though they were from Oklahoma or New Jersey). This was odd and looking back through emails we noticed the writers were likely not speaking English as their first language. They agreed for a call but they didn’t call until several hours past the time and didn’t let us know by text or email, as they had before, that they would be late. During that time we searched the images on googles url image searcher to see if it was authentically on only their site. We found that the pictures were also on mccalltoycavapoo.com (likely another scam company we found). They’re word for word taking each other’s processes and addresses. Furthermore when we looked at the handful of photos they sent we saw that they may not have been the same dog after zooming in on a few spots around her nose. Thinking that’s strange, we figured we’d wait for the call which didn’t come for several hours. They didn’t leave a message when we missed the call and didn’t follow up to emails.
