I received in the mail what appeared to be a check however once opened the fine print states "THIS IS NOT A CHECK". There is nothing showing who the company is nor an address only "Home Warranty Division" and "FINAL NOTICE" (If this were only true!). I blocked my phone number and called the 800-729-9791 and asked for their business name and address. I was given the name "Home Protect USA" as the business name and address 13801 River Port Drive Maryland Heights, MO 63043. I plan to write this company to request they never mail me another piece of correspondence or they will be reported to Federal Trade Commission for solicitation and harassment. I have received the exact same mail for Auto warranty division. This needs to stop and it won't unless the consumers band together.

I spoke with scammer for half hour, repeatedly asking to be taken off their mail list. He refused saying that the services were valuable and I needed them. I finally hung up.

the company is a legit insurance company providing home warranties on appliances. It just their marketing practices that are the problem. They make their mailing seem like an emergency. Just ignore.

I never received paperwork or contract from this company. I went through my bank records and saw $3975.00 deduction. I had to search for the phone number as I did not receive any confirmation. I called and they said I didn't have an account, could not find my name, could not find payment but alas they said they sent me paperwork. I said that I did not receive it. I wanted to cancel. I was not offered any cancellation help and told me to go to the bank. I did receive paperwork only after I filed a complaint with the bank. My phone call to Home Protect USA was placed on 2-7-2022 @9:03 am.

I am writing on behalf of my 85 year old father. He received a card in the mail that said his home warranty was expiring. He is hard of hearing and when he called them they proceeded to sell him a policy. He asked if his daughter could talk to them that night and they said sure but let's go ahead a get you set up. Unfortunately he gave them his credit card information and was charged $395.00. They kept calling to get his monthly payment of $277.00. That's when I got involved.

They said they would cancel but they could not refund because he called them willingly and signed up for the policy. They had a recording and he does state that he want his daughter to talk to them. It also shows that he is hard of hearing as he is constantly asking them to repeat themselves. It is completely obvious that he was being scammed. they said they sent a policy and contract in the mail. Not true, my brother and I get his mail and nothing was sent. They also said they emailed him and gave me his email. He does not have an active email account nor would he even be able to tell them what his email was if he had one. I asked that the policy be emailed to me and it wasn't sent.

The first person I spoke to was helpful and said he would email me the policy with the contract. I said please do, but I want to cancel and want him refunded his $395.00. Then I was switched to a supervisor who explained that they would not reimburse, but they would let me out of his contract which they usually don't do. My guess is they are making bank on peoples initial payment.

I have read multiple reviews from people that have had the same experience with their elderly family members. I can't find one positive review or anyone who has had a positive experience.

I filed a complaint with the Tennessee elder abuse hotline for financial exploitation. Home Protect USA uses predatory sales tactics and the notices they send obviously raise alarm with the elderly.

I am writing on behalf of my mother who is 93 years old. She asked me to find out what this was since she didn't understand why she got this in the mail with no postmark or where it came from. She still doesn't understand what this scam letter was since she owns her own home and doesn't have a warranty with this company. Seniors have a difficult time disseminating information. Thank goodness she didn't contact them and give out her personal information but gave the letter to me.

She received a letter to inform her that the property's home warranty at her address is expiring. It goes on to say in bold caps the she has not contacted them and she needs to get her home warranty up to date. I called the company to let them know this practice is unacceptable and appears to be a scam and to take my mom off their list. After 15 minutes of being put on hold I actually talked to a real person, but she hung up on me. The envelope that it arrived in, had no postage stamp or any indication it came through the mail. This type of scam targeted towards senior citizens needs to stop. My mom does not have an email nor does she use a computer, so instead they send snail mail instead. There is no return or printed address anywhere on the document nor envelope.
