I received a one page letter with no business address information, on the sent envelope or the letter itself, other than a name, "Home Warranty Dept", a Notice Date: June 13, 2024 and a Respond by: 7/5/2024 On the top of the letter was a Registration Fee Voucher with a Record ID 11 digits long (a combination of letters and numbers), an Expiration Date of 7/5/2024, and a "PAY TO THE ORDER OF: my name and address, and a box indicating $199.00 Just below the Voucher was: "Not all consumers have previous coverage. We are not affiliated with your mortgage holder. THIS IS NOT A CHECK" I called the 1-888-413-5452 phone number and talked to a representative that told me, "all homes have Warranties". I explained that I have home insurance with Grange Insurance and I have 2 inside protection warranties, 1 for my "Inside" gas lines and 1 for my "Inside Electrical lines. The representative told me that the home Warranty renews every 3 years. I told the representative I was not sure about the home warranty and she wished me the best of luck and hung up with me.

wanted us to pay for a home warranty. copy of letter minus personal information

The scammer mailed a very official-looking postcard that appears to be from my mortgage company. It even includes a tear out that looks like a check.

Attaching a letter I received (name and address blackened out) - it references the name of the mortgage company that I refinanced with last year so it initially seemed real (but the current mortgage is with another company). Beware.
