I received a letter in the mail on 3/6/2024 from Home Warranty Division, secured by Howard Hanna. The letter states that my property's home warranty has expired. Their records indicate that I have not contacted them to get the home warranty up to date. And without a home warranty in place I am at risk of being financially liable for any and all repairs, but I still may have time to activate a warranty on my home before it is too late. No inspection required. Final acceptance is subject to my ability to meet eligibility requirements. They reserve the right to revoke eligibility for service covered after 5 days. Call immediately as this will be our final attempt to notify you. Respond by 3/18/2024. 888-404-4504. A registration fee voucher in the amount of $199 was attached to the letter. When I called, I was told I could use the voucher towards the $395. They claim they cover all repairs inside the house with a $75 deductible and are licensed and bonded. If I renewed now, I would be good until 4/5/2027. They asked for payment upfront by credit card or by check number. They would not send out the agreement until I paid. When I told them I wouldn't give them my credit card or check number without more information, he hung up. I called back and another man asked when I could pay and when I said Monday, he said he would call on Monday They knew my address, how old my home, was and when I bought the home but could not tell me when I supposedly opened this account.
