I figured out it was a scam immediately when they said they were calling from some sort of agency for homeland security, and they asked for my name. I gave them a fake name and they claimed they had my identity, and I was receiving a package from Shanghai to Texas where they found a bunch of money and opioids in the package with a fine of $89,000. I gave a fake name and address, and they claimed it was all under my information (which of course can't be true since I made it up). I traced the number to Delhi India, he claimed he was in Texas. When I called back they said they were in Arizona. Every time I asked for the agency name they always said it in a way that was difficult to understand, on purpose I assume.

Pretending to be homeland security, said t i did criminal activity of getting a package delivered through customs with illegal items inside. They gave me a case number and their id number. They said i had 2 choices, to get an attorney or something else i couldn't understand. I asked if i could call them back they said it wasn't a phone number I could call back too. They didn't want to give me a number to get in contact. I called the better business bureau, and they said it was a scam.
