HOMELYBRANDS.COM IS A SCAM

I did some due diligence and I was about to create an order when I saw Maya's complaint. I'm glad I did. I work in IT but the website appeared polished enough to almost be passable but something seemed off. When I started poking it becomes obvious it's a scam. The internet is full of nuts telling you things without providing evidence so please read on...

1.) Check archive.org for their careers page. They've been hiring an executive assistant, an interior designer, and an engineer since 2021. It's 2023, at least one of those positions would be filled but nope. Same jobs, same wording for over 1.5 years.

2.) Go look at their FB page and you'll see a bunch of positive reviews. Click on the people and you'll see the only things they've ever done on FB is upload two images, maybe a 1 sentence post, and then wrote positive reviews for the same 3 SCAM COMPANIES: Homely, Home Solutionz (great name, scammerz), Sanels Wholesale Cabinets. Occasionally, also things like Wristband Connection, Low Cost Cabinets, and Friesen's Climate Control. The only negative reviews reiterate that it's a SCAM and those FB accounts are actually populated like you would expect, not just 2 pics and likes for the same 5-10 scam companies.

3.) No tax calculation, just "oh yeah, we added $19.04 for tax" and that doesn't change by zip code. Try it. These scams are seem to be concentrated in Canada and indeed the URL is registered to Toronto in the Whois database.

Homely./ Homely/Homely Brand has a very real looking website. Purchased a furniture product that I had previously purchased elsewhere before so I knew what it was and the brand of it. Received a shipping notification, however was only a USPS "label created - not yet in system" tracking number which never updated. Upon attempting to look up order on website, order did not exist in system. Any attempt to contact company with a request for information or cancellation was never answered. No phone number or live chat available. Upon further examination, most links in the website help section are broken links. This website looks legitimate and is a scam.
