Type of a scam Moving
I have a complaint against your company. We contacted you to move us from Illinois to Texas on 2/22/2022. Cameron called me yesterday to go over the list of items being moved. After updating the list, He asked for payment. I told him I didn't realize I had to pay the remaining balance until the day of the move, which was today. He said it had to be paid yesterday so I authorized. the balance due which was 1305.05. He asked me to sign the credit card authorization and the revision list which I did. I had no idea the quote was being doubled basically. He did not tell me that at all. I would have never signed or agreed to that. I emailed him and called him as soon as I realized there was an increase in the price. He told me it was an estimate and not a true charge. He told me he added extra-large boxes to make sure I had enough space but the amount would be finalized when the movers came.
This entire process was a scam. Period. I called you and you transferred me to customer service. They were rude and didn't care. Customer service spoke to the movers and told them to give me a quote for what I wanted to be shipped because "she feels like she was tricked into signing the contract." She was on speakerphone. I heard everything she said. She told me what was said in the recorded conversation, however, she didn't mention anything about what your employee didn't say to inform me of an increase in the charges. I told her that she should have heard me telling him I was not paying an extra 3000.00 after I realized on my own there was an increase in the charges. She also didn't acknowledge that he said it was an "estimate." when I pointed it out to her and that if she had me on the recorded line, she should have the entire conversation on the same line. She said I was canceling the contract and I told her I wasn't and that I wanted the items initially agreed upon moved for the initial amount.
I have attached the sundry of complaints from your Facebook page from people just like me who have had the EXACT same thing happen to them. I have also looked you up on Better Business Bureau and you have had 80 complaints in the last year with the Same COMPLAINTS of what happened to us.
Know that I am forwarding every bit of my research as well as my complaint to the Attorney General of Florida. There is a CLEAR pattern of your business's practice of scamming people by telling them one thing and then on moving day giving them an entirely different price and keeping their money if they refuse to pay the upcharge.
I have attached the many facebook negative posts from your previous customers. I have also attached your Better Business Bureau complaints which speak so well of your company, your service, and your scam against innocent people.
I want my money back. Period. I will wait for your response.
