We are not sure if this is a scam or not: approached by neighborhood solicitors reporting increased breakins in the area, offering free camera for front door - in exchange for Honeywell/ Guardian sign in front yard. Currently have a security system and offering to change it out to new technology - using cellular data instead of wi fi or cable.

We called the company and they do on occasion send people out to neighborhoods - but there are also lots of warnings on the internet about exactly the kind of person and script who came to our door. They sited two examples of folks who signed up so will talk with at least the one I know....
