Type of a scam Employment
After I answered the questions, I was told the answers were sent to the hiring board. Only FOUR MINUTES later, I was told that I was hired. I was given a brief overview of the benefits included & told that I needed to buy a laptop & some accounting software. After asking me if I was reliable with money, they told me I would be sent a registered check. NOTE: they told me they would send me a check on the strength of me simply telling them that I’m reliable AND before I was able to sign & return the letter of employment. That made me extremely uncomfortable; NOT standard business procedure. Also, since my printer was down, I told them I would have to email a signed letter of employment later; THEY TOLD ME I COULD SEND THE LETTER OF EMPLOYMENT ANY TIME. When I became suspicious of the job offer, I asked for a company address as a reference & asked where the new office in my area would be. The answer: “You will be notified on that during your training period by your supervisor.” If this was a legitimate job, I would have been told.
Thankfully, I became suspicious & everything stopped right there.
