Type of a scam Tech Support
I missed their call. They left a message. He gave his name and Co. name - Horizon Infotech. & their company is going out of business and that the ScamPulse.com said for them to stay in good standing they had the return my money of $399 I gave for mantaining my computer.to call them back at 833-888-8105. I did. The woman told me the same thing that was left on my caller ID. I said, OH, Horizon is a telephone Co. Does this have to do with my telephone. She said, yes( which I never had.THEY JUST CALL RANDUM NUMBERS)She also said they worked with Microsoft. I said, If you owe me that money just put it back on my credit card or in my bank acc. you should have that. She said, But before they could give me the money back, they had a process to go though to be sure it was me to guaranty my $399 back. She asked if I had windows.(They should already know that) I said yes. She said go to the lower corner of my screen and type in RUN, click it if need be and type in the space-WWW.150.co.il and I did. a page came up with options. She said click on "open my PC." I DID NOT. I said when did I give you that deposit to maintain my computer. She said Sept 16,2017. I said an emergency came up.I'll call you back & hung up. I called microsolf and ScamPulse.com in Salt Lake City. I checked the library there !st. They found that company name with no address & no phone listed. The ScamPulse.com said they do not tell co.s what to do and found that co. no where listed nation wide. But said sammers use co.s name the have been out of business for a long time so it looks legit. NOTE THIS: Microsolf does not call or notify any customer of a problem We have to call them. Also they never heard of them. DO NOT OPEN you computer to anyone to check or fix anything. Call microsoft first. And DO NOt give them your credit card or bank info.I looked it up and never gave anyone $399 at in that year. But who isn't looking for a freebee sometimes--Always beware it could cost you hundreds or thousands. This is 100% PROVEN SCAM. Google says that 833-888-8105 could come from ANY country.
