Jamie Mayson/Hot Pace Scam

As with other reports about this company/POS this company strikes again. Do not let Jamie Mayson or company pave your property. This company will come to your door saying he has extra asphalt and will pave your property for a good price. My father-in-law (elderly) is a recent victim of Jamie Mayson/Hot pave. This man presented an $11,000 bill to my father-in-law once the job was complete with no prior written estimate. This is his "Good Price for leftover asphalt" that was presented once the job was complete! Do not allow this person/company on your property or you will fall victim as well to his scamming scheme! Buyer Beware of Hot pave and Jamie Mayson.

Customer was presented a written estimate before the job. I told him at the job was going to be but whenever his wife found out, he did not want to pay for the job, so it sounds like the son-in-law is a little bit upset because he can’t get the 11,000 off his father-in-law. We have a written contract like I do every job I give everyone a contract. Sounds like the buyer got remorse and also he only paid $11000. He beat me out of $3000.

The owner of Hot Pave, Jamie Mayson, or one of his employees comes to your door during the daylight hours ( I believe to target the retired or elderly population) with his asphalt truck and says he was pouring asphalt at a job down the road and has some extra that he needs to "get rid of right now while it's hot." He offers a very cheap price since it's left overs, and has the homeowner sign a form that says he can dump and roll the asphalt. He does NOT provide a written estimate "because I'm not sure how much is in there still but you will like the price " , he assures the person. He then presents an outrageous bill to the homeowner - $3800 to my father, $5200 to another elderly man that I know....and the homeowner feels trapped into paying because the asphalt is already spread AND because they signed the paper before the asphalt was laid....which Mr Mason reminds them of. When I called to complain, Mr Mason said " Oh, my son must have estimated the job wrong and I will send your dad an $1100 refund check. Which over a week later he has NOT received.

Homeowner was paid $1100 in full. People file a complaint but when we stick by our word they don't update their complaint.
