I googled Hampton Inn Rochester greece, clicked on a website that looked like Hampton Inn, looked 100% valid, logos pics, exactly what you expect to see on a hotel website. Made a reservation for 2 nights in Aug, for a wedding, they asked for a credit card, and I provided my debit. Thought it was going to hold the room. Instead I received an immediate email, charged the card. I thought that was weird, but did not pay any heed to it until weeks later, I found out that I made the reservation at the wrong hotel. When I called the 800 number - I was told it was non refundable, and I was out $500 so I immediately called the hotel. They explained how these 3rd party co pay google to have a top spot on the search, and they scam people out of money. My confirmation came a [email protected]. The hotel cancelled the reservation, I went back to the 3rd party and was told too bad. My next step is a credit card chargeback, but I want to report them to the Better Bus Bureau. I am a senior citizen, thought I was savvy with the internest but this was very disturbing. We have to stop them.

It is an illegal hotel that only accepts cash and Chinese app transfers. It promise guests for accommodation, but does not provide accommodation services and deceives many guests who want to stay.

We purchased a hotel reservation from Google Hotels and used third party Rehlat.co. We called Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh to confirm the reservation and they did not have the booking. We contacted the merchant; Rehlat.co and they did not provide a booking number. The booking was refundable until November 2023 and once I requested the booking number that was not provided, they also refused to provide a refund.
