My company was registered as an exhibitor at a trade show in Atlanta. I received emails from Hotel for Businesses representing themselves as the official vendor coordinating hotel reservations for the event, under the email "Reservation Department." Based on this representation, I sent them a $189 deposit to reserve a room. Shortly afterward, the trade show organizers issued a warning to participants about scammers posing as the official hotel vendor, phishing from the exhibitor list. I then received emails from "Hotels for Businesses" offering a "credit," which I declined due to their fraudulent activity, and I demanded a full refund. They have refused.
