Pretty similar to the first persons comment. I reached out to see if the apt they had was still available. They told me yes, fill out this application, etc. Which included private information including my name, email, ssn# and my drivers license picture, etc.

I told them I refused to pay a deposit before a tour, etc. Said they would get back to me, but the whole thing felt off. I confronted them about being a scammer and they blocked me on everything.

Ask for my social security number pictures of my id front and back. Bank statements and check stubs

Shortly after applying for a 2 bedroom on there fake website advertising apartment units for rent, I had gotten a random phone call in which was unprofessional and in which they did not state the call was being recorded because it was in attempt to collect a debt however they stated that I was getting papers served to me about a civil judgement case that requires me to go to court for with case #: 23-24433 about having to owe GE Money Bank - Old Navy.

This website (www.housinggwp.com) advertises rental properties for rent in which I came across a 2 bedroom that I would have been interested in therefore I submitted there application online which already seemed fishy because the application only asked for the basic's of a person like name, SSN, address, paystub proofs and than the $45 payment, nothing furthermore in depth like how most rental property applications be. As soon as I submitted the 'application' and made the $45 I got an email which they were asking for $220 to HOLD the unit but I didn't have it so they said they could do $100 to HOLD it so I sent it. Another note is that they were using the apps like cashapp, paypal, venmo etc......I have never heard of a rental property using those apps to collect payments either. They did advertise that if I didnt get an approval that they would refund both the application fee and deposit.
